The Sauna Master Training Course

By participating in our training course to become a Sauna Master, you will acquire the fundamental skills that will qualify you as a Sauna Master. The program is structured into four days of training, usually spread over two weekends, for a total of 40 hours of theoretical and practical lessons.

Our solid experience and recognized professionalism will be your point of reference throughout your learning journey. The training covers a wide range of knowledge, from in-depth theoretical study, which includes the tradition and culture of the sauna world, to practical learning on how to conduct an Aufguss ritual. Additionally, the course includes extensive training on the use of essential oils, communication techniques, music management, basic techniques, first aid knowledge, scrubs, and other essential aspects needed to become a complete and competent Sauna Master.

The course lasts 40 hours.
It is generally conducted over two weekends.

How do you become a Sauna Master or Aufguss Master?

The journey begins with theoretical and practical training focused on sauna culture and the Aufguss ritual. The Aufguss Masters Basic Course provides the essential skills needed to start your journey as a Sauna Master and Aufguss Masters, covering sauna culture, towel techniques, essential oils, safety and ritual management.

How long does the Basic Aufguss Course last?

The course includes a total of 40 hours of theoretical and practical training, normally spread over four days across two weekends.

How many hours of practical training are included?

The programme includes 15 hours of practical training dedicated to basic towel techniques, dry practice and performing an Aufguss, or steam ritual, directly inside the sauna.

What will I learn during the Basic Course?

The training covers sauna culture and traditions, different types of saunas and Aufguss rituals, correct sauna use, towel and ventilation techniques, communication, music, essential oils, safety, first aid, health-related aspects, scrubs and practical training inside the sauna.

Do I need previous experience to participate?

The Basic Course is designed to provide the fundamental skills needed to begin your training journey. Therefore, no previous advanced experience in towel techniques or conducting an Aufguss ritual is required.

Is the training recognised by AISA?

Aufguss Masters is a training school recognised by the Italian Sauna & Aufguss Association (AISA). The programme includes the modules required for Sauna Master training, together with the theoretical and practical activities included in the training programme.

Can I continue my training after the Basic Course?

Yes. After completing the Basic Course, you can continue with advanced courses and workshops dedicated to towel and ventilation techniques, ritual design, essential oils and other specialised areas of the sauna and wellness world.

Where are the courses held?

Courses are normally held in Northern and Central Italy at SPA centres and hotels. However, we are open to collaboration opportunities throughout Italy and abroad.
